| Molly joined
our family when we were "between" Danes. I had wished for a pygmy
goat since childhood and Molly was my wish come true. We adopted
her from a farm when she was only 36 hours old. She needed to be
bottle fed every 2-3 hours at first so we kept her in a box near our bed
at night and took her to work with us during the day. She lived in
the house with us until she was weaned at about 6 weeks old. Born
in Florida, she accompanied us when we moved to Massachusetts, Colorado
and finally here to Virginia. I used Molly's milk to wean our puppy
Phoebe. Molly passed quietly here on our farm from the effects of
old age.

Her first day at home, and a sign of her goaty stubbornness. She refused to take to the nipple and she is standing me off as I offer her milk from a syringe. A half dozen nipples later we finally found one she liked! |
| Frequent feedings prompted us to come up with creative ways to feed Molly her many meals. | ![]() |
